At CSIS, we aim to be the insurance provider of choice for Civil and Public Servants by offering a range of quality products at competitive prices with a first class service you can trust.
The Civil Service Insurance Society was founded in 1890 to enable civil servants to purchase life assurance on advantageous terms to help provide valuable protection for their widows and orphans. The life assurance business was eventually replaced by Car, Home and Travel insurance products. It was also extended to all serving, retired and former civil and public servants and partners.
The Society is a company limited by guarantee, and has no shareholders, but accounts to members drawn from within its public sector audience.
We offer quality products at competitive prices with exceptional customer service and, being a “not for profit” organisation, we then donate any available surplus to Civil and Public Service Charities via the CSIS Charity Fund. Since 2007, CSIS has donated over £9million to help put peoples lives back on track.
In addition, during that time the Civil Service Insurance Society has regularly supported many local charities through its Corporate Social Responsibility budget which has seen more than £600,000 donated to good causes.
CSIS is pleased to provide quality insurance products from a range of well-known Insurers. Our office is in Maidstone, Kent and is dedicated to trust and fairness when looking after our customers, with our telephone based team available Monday – Friday 9am - 4pm.
